Stoker's widow won the lawsuit and ordered every print burned. Someone kept one. That is the entire moral of this station in a single sentence. Murnau's rat-count of a vampire has no glamour, no cape, no invitation — just plague arriving on schedule. Teitanblood sound like the negative of the film: all silt and no image, a recording that seems to have survived rather than been made.
